A year and a half has passed since I have truly blogged. Amazing enough, time is a great enemy, always winning and never slowing down. Graduating with a masters degree is great on paper, but what does it really mean? Not a whole lot. Graduating from high school, and college are big events in life. People celebrate and recognize that you have achieved a level of success in life. However, the next step is just a way to increase monetary funds each month from the school, and possible teach at a higher level. It is a great success and a grand milestone, but its true meaning is, well, just a piece of paper.
Work brings along its own challenges with a new classroom, more computers and the addition going on outside the walls of the new room. Fortunately, I am currently blessed enough to have windows at the moment but those will soon be gone. And then, stuck in a box, no sunlight or access to the outside, will create a very interesting sensation.
Being trapped like a caged animal inside a school, in the Box known as DML, what is one to do... The outside is a constant reminder that freedom is only a few classes away, fresh air, sunshine, snowy days, even sunrise when I am arriving at school. This may bring about a change of location or subject at some point...
The adventure continues on however, with the lack of time to travel elsewhere due to working, being able to get lost in books again is an amazing peaceful time. The love to read was lost when the masters classes started, and has recently picked back up.
Stephen R. Lawhead - The King Raven Trilogy
I am currently on the last book of the Trilogy. An amazingly written story based on the adventures of Robin Hood in Wales. Very relate-able because of my time spent living there and visiting places that were mentioned in the story. As well as understanding the underlying faith and trust in Jesus Christ intermixed with true historical facts about the Britons and Franks conquering or attempting to conquer the Cymry (Welsh).
UpNext
When this book is finished is on to books that are more fiction based, books to help reconnect with my faith and have a deeper understanding of what I can do to better serve Christ, and live accordingly..
Always
Pray, be mindful that God has a plan, be patient, pray, and he will deliver.
